on Behalf of The
Arc of Atlantic County
NJ – December 7, 2006 - Phyllis Terlecky, of Ventnor, NJ, received
The Arc of New Jersey's ‘Volunteer of the Year' award on November
28, 2006 at an awards ceremony and dinner in Somerset, NJ. Terlecky
volunteers at The Arc of Atlantic County's The Arc Makes Cents
Thrift Shop located in Ventnor.
of Atlantic County nominated Terlecky for her tireless commitment
to The Arc's thrift shop, giving over 3,000 hours of service since
2002 and helping to increase the shop's net profits by 300% since
she began volunteering. Due to her excellent management skills
and knack for displaying sellable merchandise, Phyllis is largely
responsible for the shop's success over the past several years.

shop and goes to great lengths to reduce administrative costs
and increase net profits each year.
