HOW
TO HELP: VOLUNTEER
Volunteers
are needed to help us operate our programs effectively. Volunteers
are The Arc's link to the community. You can make a lasting difference
in the life of someone with developmental disabilities. If you
would like to volunteer, please either call us or fill out our
mailing list form here and indicate
in the space provided that you would like to volunteer.
Ways
to Volunteer:
Individual
volunteers in our Recreation Department, Saturday Program &
Thrift Shop
Group
volunteers:
Service projects for business groups, school groups, youth groups,
and civic groups make a difference in the lives of people with
developmental disabilities. Contact Beth Ann Spiegel at 609-485-0800
ext. 136 to set up a project.
Recent
Volunteer Service Projects at The Arc:
Students
from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona came
out in support of The Arc of Atlantic County both on 'Make a Difference
Day' (January 16, 2007) and 'Day of Caring' (April 20, 2007),
helping to paint and brighten 9 of our residents' apartments.
We are grateful for the hard work of all of the students!
If you
and your service group would like to commit to a project that
supports The Arc, please call Beth Ann at 609-485-0800 ext. 136.

A
group of more than 15 Stockton students
brightened the homes and lives
of people we support by painting
the stairwells and apartments
of The Arc's Pacific
Apartments residents on 'Make a
Difference Day',
January 16, 2007. |
Stockton's
Tri-Sigma Sorority did a great job painting the apartment
of a woman who receives services through our Supported Living
program as part of the United Way's 'Day
of Caring', April 20, 2007. |
