SUMMER CAMP

Arc Receives $13,000 for Summer Camp as Part of National Inclusion Project Partnership

Read about our Summer Camp Program in Atlantic County Woman magazine.

Summer Camp offers 20 children four to eight weeks of life changing experiences at an area day camp. Support counselors assure that each child participates as fully as possible.

swimThe Arc has a long history of providing summer day camp each year to a handful of children with developmental disabilities. The goal of the program has been to work with both the parents or guardians, matching their needs with an established camp. The Arc then finds grant dollars and donations to hire additional camp counselors to work on a one-on-one basis with the child. The result at camp has been very positive. Children not only have the opportunity to play, swim, and participate in arts and crafts but they have the opportunity to do so along side typical children.

The Arc's summer camp is supported in part by the National Inclusion Project. To learn more, visit www.inclusionproject.org
