What
is Real Life Choices?
Real Life Choices is New
Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) new program
to give support to people who live in their own homes. With
Real Life Choices, individuals and their families are given
budgets based on their needs and with the help of a plan coordinator
they choose the services and supports that best fit their unique
situation.
The vision
of Real Life Choices is to create a system where individuals
with developmental disabilities and their families are empowered
to make their own choices about where they want to go, what they
want to do and how best to utilize the services necessary to
get them there. Success is determined on the attainment
of personal outcomes that are important to the individual.
