Point, NJ – February 10, 2005 – The Arc of Atlantic
County will honor Carmen G. Bannon, II and Joseph F. Silipena,
Jr. for their exemplary service to the community at a banquet
on February 24 th at the Renault Winery Tuscany House in
Egg Harbor City.
Freeholder
Silipena has been an Atlantic County Freeholder since 1993,
and is currently the Chairperson of the Freeholders.
Freeholder Silipena has enjoyed a distinguished career in
public service. He serves with a passion for solving
problems and compassion for all people.
Carmen Bannon was
a caring coach and advocate for people with disabilities
as a volunteer with The Arc. He later became an Arc
board member and has remained a champion for people with
disabilities in our community. Carmen currently serves
as South Sectional Director for Special Olympics New Jersey.
The Tribute Banquet begins at 6 PM and ends at 9 PM.
